Aug 31, 2026 Job Description The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District is searching for a Special Education Teaching Assistant, at the Winthrop Elementary School. The successful candidate will provide support within a specialized classroom setting and inclusive settings. Candidate must have the ability to be flexible, work as part of a team and exhibit strong communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates experienced with cognitive impairment and social-emotional disabilities. Familiarity with ABA practices and CPI helpful.

NOTIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree required;
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred;
  • Ability to lift and position up to 50 pounds required;
  • Ability to actively participate in classroom activities that may require bending, lifting and floor time required;
  • Ability to support and assist with basic life and self-care skills, including but not limited to feeding, toileting and hygiene required;
  • Ability to work as part of a team required;
  • Flexibility, creativity and adaptability required.
