We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable team member to coordinate our hygiene department and provide an excellent patient experience. Dental experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person, but candidates should have previous experience in a role involving frequent customer or patient interaction. Responsibilities Manage the schedules of three dental hygienists Handle incoming and outgoing patient calls Schedule appointments, fill cancellations, and contact overdue patients Present hygiene treatment plans and explain estimated costs Collect payments and assist with financial arrangements Verify insurance benefits and submit hygiene-related claims Follow up on claims for SRP, exams, X-rays, periodontal maintenance, and other hygiene services Check patients in and out and assist with hygiene-related questions Ideal Candidate Strong customer service and communication skills Experience working directly with customers, patients, or clients Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking on the phone Organized and able to manage multiple schedules and responsibilities Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn Dental front desk or insurance experience is a plus, but not required Experience with Open Dental, DentalXChange, Weave, or Dexis is a plus
