Job Description

Job description: Cognitive Hygiene Advanced Therapy (C.H.A.T.) is seeking a Part-Time Care Coordinator to join our team and support youth in our Youth Therapy After-School Program and Summer Camp . This role is essential to ensuring the day-to-day operations of the program run smoothly by assisting with administrative tasks, organizing materials, helping prepare daily snacks and meals, maintaining communication with families, and supporting staff and youth during therapeutic activities. As a year-round program , C.H.A.T. offers after-school therapeutic services during the academic year and transitions into a 9 week summer camp to continue providing mental health support in an engaging, structured setting. The 2027 Summer Camp will run from June 7th to August 6th , with therapeutic hours adjusted accordingly.

PM Compensation:
$20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Directly interact with youth to assist the clinical team during group activities, therapeutic assignments, and field trips Support the QMHS and therapists with day-to-day structure and youth engagement Help maintain order and consistency by applying firm but respectful disciplinary strategies as needed Monitor and redirect inappropriate behavior while helping youth de-escalate and return to task Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment Prepare and distribute daily snacks and light meals for program participants Collect and organize documentation from parents/guardians (e.g., updated forms, attendance sheets, permission slips) Complete non-clinical paperwork such as incident reports and basic behavioral logs Support setup and cleanup of group rooms, recreational spaces, and therapy areas Assist with organizing materials for group assignments, arts and crafts, and activities Help communicate program reminders and updates to families as needed Participate in event setup, activity facilitation, and supply management
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field preferred
Experience:
At least one year of experience working with youth in a school, recreational, or behavioral health setting
Skills:
Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced, structured environments
Additional Requirements:
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable using email, basic spreadsheets, and communication tools (text, phone) Valid Ohio or Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to complete a criminal background check and drug screening Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with light cleaning, setup, or physical engagement during activities
