Job Description
Job Overview:
The Lifecare Benefit Planner is responsible for assisting individuals and families with navigating the long-term care assistance application process through government-sponsored healthcare programs, such as Medicaid, ensuring they receive the appropriate benefits. This role focuses on the financial and legal aspects of qualifying for long-term care benefits. The Lifecare Benefit Planner is responsible for maintaining accurate client files and records, offering case management support, and addressing any issues related to Medicaid enrollment and services. The Lifecare Benefit Planner is a sales-driven role that will be responsible for assigned metrics and revenue goals.Key Responsibilities:
Eligibility Determination & Enrollment:
Assist clients in understanding eligibility requirements for long-term care benefits and guide them through the application process.Case Management:
Monitor and manage benefits cases throughout the application process. Ensure timely updates, proper documentation, and adherence to guidelines.Documentation & Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records for all clients and prepare reports and audits as required.Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and completing the application process promptly.Collaboration:
Work closely with clients, long-term care facilities, social services, and other community resources to ensure seamless application process for clients.Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a sales-related, client-facing role preferred.Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Medicaid benefit policies, eligibility criteria, and long-term care healthcare systems preferred.Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with clients, financial advisors, and long-term care facilities Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Work Environment:
The Lifecare Benefit Planner role is offered as a hybrid role out of our Wausau, WI office. Travel to Rhinelander, WI as needed, if onsite.Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer. Occasional lifting of files or supplies up to 20 pounds.Job Type:
