Betty Hardwick Center is currently looking to hire a Team Lead for our Coordinated Specialty Care program in Abilene. : Coordinated Specialty Care for First Episode Psychosis, or STEP (specialized treatment for early psychosis), is an early intensive intervention program for adolescents and young adults who have been recently diagnosed with a mental health condition which includes psychosis. The program goals include reducing the duration of untreated symptoms, and to improve outcomes such as the ability to work, go to school, and live independently and have enjoyable relationships. We do this by providing intensive, direct services, coordination, support and linkage of all to positively impact the client. The Team Lead is responsible for providing team leadership, oversight of clinical programming and individual clinical care, as well as providing direct care to center clients. The Team Lead also assists in overseeing the implementation and delivery of the STEP program as well as other projects. Duties may include, but are not limited to assisting, and supporting team clinical staffings, trainings and meetings. The Team Lead will provide clinical supervision to the team as well as direct clinical services, predominantly advanced individual and group therapy services to individuals in the program. Duties may include completing diagnostic evaluations and comprehensive treatment plans; providing and facilitating emergency and mental health assessments; monitoring the clinical admission and discharge criteria; authorizing and maintaining intervention/case management services; and assisting the CSC Team in clinical service delivery. This position requires the ability to: identify problem/need areas; work under pressure and in stressful situations in a professional manner; be thorough in assessment and documentation; locate and utilize a variety of community resources to meet the needs of each individual ; assist in negotiating and advocating for each individual with service entities outside the Center; and develop a positive relationship with each consumer. This position also will be responsible for doing Crisis supervisor monthly and be scheduled on the Crisis calendar monthly. This position will have a schedule Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm while maintaining flexibility showing regular availability non traditional work hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social, behavioral or human services. Must be a Licensed Practioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) which may include LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Would also accept an LMSW.
  • Experience in mental health/intellectual and developmental disabilities services preferred
  • Experience in supported employment and/or supported housing services preferred
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and be an insurable driver.
Driving is an essential function and employees must maintain an acceptable driving record/insurability while employed. LPCs earn $27.88 - $34.61 per hour (DOE); will be eligible for a one and two-year step increase, depending on satisfactory performance.
