The Role We are seeking a motivated, empathetic, and organized Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the liaison between the doctor and the patient, ensuring every patient understands their treatment plan and feels comfortable moving forward with the recommended care. This position is perfect for a confident communicator with a patient-first philosophy and strong organizational, communication skills.Key Responsibilities Patient Education & Case Presentation:
Present treatment plans clearly and persuasively, using simple, patient-friendly language to explain procedures, timelines, and expected outcomes.Financial & Insurance Coordination:
Review insurance benefits, provide accurate cost estimates, and present financing options (e.g., CareCredit, in-house plans etc.) to help patients afford the care they need.Case Acceptance & Follow-Up:
Utilize strong negotiation and closing skills to maximize case acceptance. Manage the list of unscheduled treatments and follow up with patients to ensure they move forward with necessary care.Scheduling & Administration:
Manage patient schedules, coordinate appointments between different providers/specialists, handle patient check-ins/check-outs, and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Patient Advocacy:
Uncover and address patient barriers to completing treatment, answer questions regarding procedures and costs, and maintain a warm, professional demeanor at all times. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a dental office setting or a similar patient-facing role is highly preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, coding (ADA codes), and insurance basics. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and customer service with an understanding of patient psychology. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with dental practice management software experience with Dentrix which is essential and MS Office. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
