Job Type Full time The Department of Infectious Diseases seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to join their Ryan White Program. The UVA Health Ryan White Clinic provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary HIV care and support services to a population of approximately 1,000 patients. TheLCSW/LPC
embedded in this program will provide specialized mental health care to adults to address anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, and other mental health needs associated with chronic illness. The position will be 100% funded by the Ryan White Program (Part B), administered by the VDH. In-person with ambulatory therapy visits.Shift:
M-F. Please include a cover letter.- At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated comfort with therapeutic interventions and skills appropriate for helping patients navigate medical crises and complex conditions, chronic illness, and grief and loss Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment.
- Documents patient care in accordance with UVA University Medical Center policies and regulatory requirements
- Facilitates staff development, in-service training, and educational opportunities to support professional growth and evidence-based practice 2) Professional
- Participates in treatment planning, care coordination, and advocates for patient preferences within the interdisciplinary team 3) Clinical
- Completes bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and development of culturally competent individualized treatment plans for patients in both individual and group settings
- Provides specialized mental health support to address the unique presenting concerns of patients with HIV
- Addresses crisis intervention, trauma, anxiety, and depression
- Assists with navigating chronic illness
- May provide therapeutic support to care partners and family members, as needed 4) Leadership
- Provides clinical supervision, and trains new staff, students, and interns as assigned
- Assists with treatment program development
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited social work program requiredExperience:
3 years' experience post master's required.Licensure:
Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LCSW) or applicants with an active license from another state must obtain Virginia LCSW within 18 months of hire date.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, standing/traveling or use of assistive and climbing (stairs, steps). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail, hear, speak, see, distinguish colors, read, ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $61,443.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Comprehensive Package:
