Clinical Assessor (Crisis Services)
Experience and knowledge of crisis interventions. Knowledge of and able to implement case management practices. Ability to supervise staff and agency operations. Knowledge of agency, Medicaid, and state licensing regulations and policies in relation to community-based programs and utilization review. Knowledge of methods and procedures of admissions, discharges, and providing therapeutic services. Knowledge of human behavior and development. Knowledge of principles and methods of counseling and the acceptable techniques for assessing psycho-social behaviors. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Understand and apply state, Medicaid, and agency regulations governing quality assurance and utilization review. Ability to analyze treatment plans, which includes the ability to utilize the DSM-V to diagnose the client's behavioral, intellectual, and/or emotional disabilities. Possess a thorough understanding of psychotropic medications. Use good judgment and strong clinical skills to make critical decisions about the necessity of treatment and documentation. Requires excellent computer, organization & multi-tasking skills.

Under direction and in coordination to the Program Manager, the Clinician will perform duties to include but not limited to:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Completing assessments, Safety Plans as needed, client ISP's, prior authorizations, individual/family/group psychotherapy, and clinical supervision ofstaff (if needed) Collaborating with referral sources and other service providers to gather data to complete assessment(s) Providing on-call and emergency coverage for program Representing the agency in the community by conducting provider presentations, vendor/community fairs, and community meetings/associations to marketprogram Ensuring that clients and families are receiving the most effective treatment interventions as determined by the treatment team Following the emergency protocol for suicide/homicide, abuse/neglect, and other potential safety issues Monitoring and reviewing client charts to ensure agency compliance with all licensing, federal, state, and Medicaid Regulations; and performing on-going internal file audits for Program.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess a positive attitude, be a self-starter, well organized and able to work independently. A Master's Degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; direct experience working with individuals diagnosed with a mental illness/intellectual disability, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional or License-Type as deemed by Department of Health Professionals. At least two (2) years' experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred.Job Type:
