Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The Dental Scheduling Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our practice by managing patient appointments, coordinating schedules for dental procedures, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Manage the front desk and handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries from patients Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with dental providers to ensure optimal scheduling Confirm patient appointments and follow up on missed appointments or cancellations Maintain patient records and update demographic information as necessary Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional manner Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and patient experience Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and inventory management as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with dental practice management software (Open Dental) Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
