Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our dynamic team at our South Burlington office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice(s). Responsibilities Manage and coordinate patient appointments for our healthcare providers. Utilize dental scheduling software to maintain accurate appointment records. Verify patient information and insurance details prior to appointments. Communicate effectively with patients via phone systems to confirm or reschedule appointments. Assist with front desk operations, including greeting patients and managing inquiries. Answers phones in a timely manner with limited use of voicemail and respond in a timely manner (schedule/reschedule appointments, handle referrals from other dental offices, financial/billing questions, emergency calls from patients etc.). Dismisses patients to include the collection of payment for treatment provided, answer any insurance or billing questions, and schedule future appointments. Sends out appropriate patient letters and pre-treatment estimates when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to legally work in the United States.
