Job Description
Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Facility Name. Performs according to approved policies and procedures. Supports and participates in programs directed to patient and staff safety. Considers patient rights in performance of responsibilities. Observes safety measures in performance of responsibilities. Responds to emergency situations with competence and composure. Corrects or reports observed or suspected violations, hazards, and noncompliance according to policy. Participates in evaluation of the quality of care rendered by the Clinical staff. Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and clinic staff. . Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and clinical staff using a translator when necessary. Documents information received from the patient and disseminates it to the appropriate people or areas. Accurately assesses and interprets age-specific patient data and responses to questions and instructions. Objectively evaluates suggestions or criticisms and attempts to improve performance or seeks further guidance as needed. Attends and actively participates in seminars, workshops, conferences, and quality/performance improvement activities according to job responsibilities and requirements. Maintains membership in relevant professional organizations. Functions according to applicable state, federal, and professional agencies regarding the practice of medicine. Supports chiropractic decisions and activities affecting patient care. Assists the staff in identifying and solving patient care problems. Assists in maintaining continuity of patient care through coordination of care provided by physicians, nursing, and support services. Review quality management reports. Compliance with standards of professional performance by physicians and patient care personnel. Investigates breaches of quality care or ethics and makes appropriate recommendations to the Governance. Reviews the performance evaluations of patient care staff when requested. Adheres to approved Rules and Regulations and policies and procedures. Interprets and provides guidance on the Organization's medical policies to enhance patient care. In coordination with the Clinical Staff, reviews activities for adherence to Organization policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and other adopted standards. Develops and implements, in cooperation with administration, methods to meet the recommended practices and requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Accepts accountability for the quality and efficiency of clinical services, patient care, and quality improvement functions delegated to the Clinical Staff.
