Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractor Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly contribute to patient well-being and recovery. In this vital role, you will support chiropractors by preparing patients, assisting during treatments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in outpatient clinical settings while making a positive impact on patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate documentation Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status Prepare treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for chiropractic procedures and therapies Assist chiropractors during adjustments, therapy sessions, and other treatment modalities while maintaining patient comfort and safety Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and progress notes accurately Support administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, insurance verifications, and billing support Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, sterilize equipment, and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for all patients Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to outpatient chiropractic care Experience with medical administrative support functions such as intake procedures, scheduling, and EHR systems management Familiarity with medical procedures including vital signs measurement, medication administration support, X-ray assistance, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating excellent patient service skills Knowledge of ICD coding for accurate documentation and insurance processing Previous clinic experience in outpatient or hospital settings is highly desirable; experience in emergency medicine or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital or urgent care settings while maintaining attention to detail Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
