Job Description

Pediatric and Perinatal Chiropractor Designed 2 Move Spine & Sport | Ankeny, IA Flexible schedule. Three to five days per week. We will build it around you. We are not looking for someone who simply only adjusts babies. We are looking for a chiropractor who sees a six month old with a head turn preference and is already thinking about asymmetric tonic neck reflex, feeding mechanics, and what the last four months of tummy time actually looked like. Someone who wants the complicated cases, not the easy ones. If that is you, this is a rare opportunity. You would not be joining a pediatric department. You would be building one. Who We Are Designed 2 Move Spine & Sport is a sports rehab and chiropractic clinic in Ankeny built on a simple belief: the adjustment is one tool, not the whole toolbox. Our team includes three sports rehab chiropractic physicians, a nurse practitioner providing PRP, and three support staff. We also house a massage therapist and a pelvic floor physical therapist we collaborate with daily, which means the mom you treat prenatally has her pelvic floor care in the same building. Our culture is professional and lighthearted. We work hard, we take clinical excellence seriously, and we genuinely like being around each other. What we do not have is a pediatric and perinatal clinician. That is the gap, and it is a real one in this community. What You Would Own This is a ground floor role with an established practice behind it. You would be the clinical lead for pediatrics and perinatal care at Designed 2 Move, which means: Building the care model, the intake process, and the treatment standards for this population Owning the referral relationships with local pediatric OT, SLP, lactation, and pediatric dental providers Growing a caseload inside a practice that already has patient flow, staff support, and a community presence Having full clinical autonomy in your scope while never practicing in isolation You bring the expertise we do not have. We bring the infrastructure, the patients, the team, and the runway. The Clinical Work We want you to know exactly what you would be walking into, so here is the honest picture of the caseload we expect you to build: Infants and newborns Torticollis and positional preference, plagiocephaly and cranial asymmetry, latch and feeding dysfunction, tethered oral tissue co management with IBCLC and pediatric dental providers, colic and reflux presentations, constipation, sleep and positional issues. Neurodevelopmental and complex pediatrics Retained primitive reflexes and reflex integration, gross and fine motor delay, milestone regression, sensory processing challenges, toe walking and gait abnormality, hypotonia, co management of children with autism spectrum, ADHD, and neurodevelopmental diagnoses alongside their OT, SLP, and medical team. Perinatal Prenatal care through all three trimesters, Webster technique, pelvic and round ligament pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction, postpartum recovery, and direct collaboration with our in house pelvic floor physical therapist. Modalities and adjuncts Low level laser therapy, which we have found kids and neuro cases respond to exceptionally well. Instrument and low force adjusting. Home exercise and developmental activity prescription for parents. Real education, not a canned script. If you read that list and thought of three cases you have treated this month, we should talk. What We Are Looking For Licensed chiropractor or eligible for licensure in Iowa Meaningful training and experience in pediatric and perinatal care, not a weekend seminar Clinical curiosity. You read, you take courses, you ask questions, you change your mind when the evidence says to Comfort co managing with pediatricians, OTs, SLPs, lactation consultants, and pediatric dentists, and the confidence to refer out when a case is not yours Genuine warmth with kids and the ability to build trust with anxious parents in the first five minutes Willingness to be visible in the community through outreach, education, and relationship building Self motivated, coachable, and a real teammate Preferred credentials and training Webster Technique certification ICPA membership, CACCP, or
DACCP DNS
pediatric coursework Reflex integration training such as MNRI, Rhythmic Movement, or similar Craniosacral or low force technique training Low level laser therapy experience Dry needling certification Not every box has to be checked. Depth in a few of these matters more to us than a thin layer across all of them. Schedule and Flexibility We know a lot of exceptional pediatric clinicians are parents themselves and are not looking for a traditional five day schedule. We are not going to pretend otherwise. Two days, three days, or full time all work here. Tell us what your life actually needs and we will build the schedule around it. We would rather have the right clinician two days a week than the wrong one five. What We Offer Competitive compensation with growth tied to the practice you build Coverage of malpractice premiums cost Support staff so you are treating, not scheduling and billing A continuing education culture. We invest in our clinicians, giving you a yearly allowance for CEU's A team that will actually be interested in your cases at lunch To Apply Send your resume and a short note to draaron@d2mchiro.com . Skip the generic cover letter. Instead, tell us about one pediatric case that challenged you, what you did, and what you would do differently now. We read every one of them.
