Where you fit in The Evaluation Assistant serves as the first point of contact by answering the telephone and providing information and assistance as needed. (Front Desk support).
Other duties include:
Processes all incoming medical records documents (paper or electronic) and attaches to the appropriate patient chart in a timely fashion. Manages all incoming faxes and distributes as necessary to the appropriate individual Receive and scan all medical reports, q5/q15 sheets, DAPs, plus additional documentation that is apart of patient chart Send and tracks outgoing documents Follows up on outstanding documentation to ensure items are collected within agency policy and regulatory guidelines. Notifies the Quality Manager, MSA Director when outstanding documents have not been received despite multiple attempts to collect. Processes staff requests related to medical records to achieve effective coordination of care. Utilizes physician portals or other software, when necessary, to obtain medical records. (EPIC, etc.) Supports regulatory compliance Compiles documentation in a timely manner for medical record requests. Works closely with billing and quality improvement team members regarding outstanding medical records. Assists Director, Clinical Operations in chart audits related to regulatory compliance.
