JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
Management and oversight of clinical documentation integrity, denials, and appeals teams. Identify and implement performance improvement projects to improve processes and clinical documentation required to meet quality and financial goals
Education:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Coding or Nursing.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist and/or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner preferred.
Experience:
5 to 10 years of Clincial Documentation Intergrity experience required. 5 or more years of progressive supervisory or management experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. Demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere. Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work. Ability to form collaborative relationships and promote teamwork with co-workers and other departments. Ability to organize and perform work responsibilities effectively and efficiently. Ability to design and implement performance improvement projects. Ability to work remotely with minimal oversight. Maintains strict patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
