Job Description
American Urgent Care & Primary Centers is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Healthcare Analyst to support clinical operations, business performance, revenue cycle improvement, patient care workflows, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across our urgent care and primary care locations. The Senior Healthcare Analyst will work closely with executive leadership, providers, billing teams, front desk staff, medical assistants, and operations management to analyze healthcare data, improve workflows, identify performance gaps, and recommend practical solutions that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, compliance, and financial performance. This role is ideal for someone with strong healthcare operations knowledge, analytical thinking, EHR experience, reporting skills, and the ability to convert data into clear business recommendations. Key Responsibilities Healthcare Operations & Business Analysis Analyze clinic operations, patient flow, appointment trends, wait times, no-shows, call handling, provider productivity, and front desk performance. Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements for urgent care and primary care workflows. Support leadership with data-driven insights for location performance, staffing needs, patient volume, and business growth. Review current workflows and help standardize processes across all clinic locations. Work with clinic managers and department leads to improve accountability and daily performance tracking. Data Reporting & Dashboards Create, maintain, and review reports and dashboards for clinical, operational, financial, and quality metrics. Track KPIs such as patient visits, revenue trends, claims status, denials, collections, appointment completion, patient satisfaction, and provider productivity. Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for executive leadership. Interpret complex data and present findings in a simple, actionable format. EHR, Billing & Revenue Cycle Support Work with EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar platforms to extract, review, and analyze healthcare data. Support billing and revenue cycle teams by analyzing claims, denials, payer trends, coding issues, reimbursement delays, and collection performance. Review patient records, insurance verification workflows, referrals, authorizations, and documentation gaps. Assist in improving charge capture, claim submission accuracy, and payer follow-up processes. Quality, Compliance & Patient Care Improvement Support quality improvement initiatives, HEDIS/P4Q measures, preventive care tracking, annual wellness visits, chronic care workflows, and patient engagement programs. Monitor compliance-related workflows including documentation, HIPAA standards, medical records handling, and patient communication processes. Identify trends in patient complaints, reviews, grievances, and satisfaction surveys. Help leadership develop corrective action plans and performance improvement strategies. Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination Lead or support healthcare technology, workflow automation, reporting, and process improvement projects. Gather requirements from providers, administrators, billing teams, and operations staff. Translate business needs into clear project plans, workflows, reports, and system improvement recommendations. Coordinate with IT, vendors, billing partners, and internal teams to implement solutions. Train staff on new workflows, reports, dashboards, and process changes when needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Public Health, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare business analysis, clinic operations, revenue cycle analysis, EHR analysis, or healthcare administration. Strong understanding of urgent care, primary care, outpatient clinic operations, billing workflows, insurance verification, referrals, and patient care processes. Experience working with EHR/EMR systems; eClinicalWorks experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, dashboards, data analysis, and KPI tracking. Ability to analyze healthcare data and convert it into clear recommendations for leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and workflow improvement skills. Ability to work with clinical and non-clinical teams across multiple locations. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, advanced Excel, or healthcare reporting tools. Experience with revenue cycle management, claims analysis, payer denials, HEDIS, quality reporting, or value-based care programs. Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare compliance, patient privacy, and clinical documentation standards. Experience supporting multi-location medical practices, urgent care centers, or primary care groups. Project management, workflow automation, or healthcare IT implementation experience. The Senior Healthcare Analyst must be comfortable reviewing data, observing workflows, meeting with staff, identifying problems, and recommending realistic solutions. Pay:
