Job Description

The Healthcare Report Analyst is an entry-level position within the Healthcare Report Analyst series. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing data to guide the decision-making process and improve performance. Identifies requirements, designs and implements reporting systems based on the established needs. Designs reports and analyzes metrics to provide insight into key data points. Professional Duties Develop data driven dashboards to include key performance indicators (KPI) as requested by management to encompass the data analysis, design, test, data validation and documentation. Develop and maintain healthcare reports to include per K metrics for bed days, admissions, procedures, including its validation and documentation. Collaborate with Financial Analysis staff to create reports and analyze data. Determine reporting needs to support operations and provide accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting. Recommend improvements and enhancements to current reports. Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements. Validate content of reports and data completeness and accuracy. Update documentation as needed. Participate in the maintenance of tables, queries, views and stored procedures. Assist in complex data manipulation. Assist in building complex queries, stored procedures and SSIS packages to streamline data reporting and distribution. Research syntax issues by utilizing the available resources. Serve as a backup for automation that continually improves analytical processes, reports and methodologies. Develop adhoc requests within established timeframes, using tools such as SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI and/or Excel. Write documentation and comment code as necessary to re-create processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field. Bachelor's degree can be substituted with 2 years of expertise in Information Systems functions or Managed Care System support. 2 years of experience in report preparation. 1 year of Managed Care or IPA experience, preferred. Working knowledge of report writing and data analysis. Advanced proficiency in SQL to include SSRS and data extracts, queries, report writing, relational databases required. Knowledge of Power BI, preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to problem solve. Ability to multitask and reprioritize work to meet established deadlines. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to establish and accomplish goals. At the discretion of
