The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health practices and authorization request. As a vital member of the utilization team, you will work collaboratively with clinical managers to ensure effective utilization of behavioral health services. Duties Understands the concepts of required clinical documentation. Navigates GAMMIS and complete insurance verification and activity status if needed Complete Electronic Medical Records System data entry regarding authorizations and updates. Follow-up with clinical requests for documentation with GHP Counseling Staff in order to submit authorization requests. Submit out-patient treatment requests to specific insurance company through GAMMIS, Provider Connect, CMO websites. Provide updates to staff related to authorization status. Maintain and update Spreadsheets Utilize the Electronic Medical Records System (Notenetic) to input authorizations, check status of authorizations, and review clinical documentation in order to complete
GAMMIS/ASO
authorization requests. Provide Monthly reports to Clinical Director regarding outstanding OTR requests, discharges remaining. Know about the DBHDD guidelines and CMO guidelines and provide this information to staff as related to authorizations requirements. Attend marketing events and maintain relationships with our referral sources Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and relevant to role and position Qualifications Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Ability to work independently and collboratively as part of a team.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
