Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Biopsychosocial Assessor / Intake Clinician to join our clinical team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for new admissions and current clients, and to determine appropriate levels of care using The ASAM Criteria . This position plays a critical role in guiding clinical decisions and ensuring clients receive timely, appropriate, and individualized treatment services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily biopsychosocial assessments for new intakes and transitioning clients. Evaluate mental health and substance use history, current functioning, and readiness for change. Apply ASAM Criteria to justify levels of care and recommend appropriate treatment placements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop initial treatment plans based on assessment findings. Document assessments, clinical impressions, and recommendations in accordance with state, federal, and insurance regulations. Participate in case staffing, clinical rounds, and utilization review as needed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and facility policies.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
[Specify relevant licensure for your state - e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, CADC, etc.] Strong knowledge of ASAM Criteria and experience applying it in a clinical setting. Experience in dual diagnosis treatment, intake assessments, and crisis intervention preferred. Excellent clinical writing, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
