What you'll actually do Take in large, unstructured medical and billing record sets and impose order on them — separating, categorizing, and preserving the full record. Spot what's missing, what's inconsistent, and what doesn't add up. Extract and structure billing data into clean, analysis-ready form. Reconcile billed charges against medical records and client billing summaries. Apply AccuMed's coding methodology — independent of payer rules, focused on reasonable value of care. Serve as the operational quarterback for our expert witnesses: managing case flow, surfacing details they need, coordinating every touchpoint between experts and clients. Talk to attorneys and paralegals — clearly, confidently, and often. Recommend the right product solutions for each client's case strategy. A coding or billing credential is great (CPC, CPB, CIC, CPMA, CCS, CCA, CHDA; any of them) but a strong background and the right instincts matter more. You can apply coding guidelines to a closed record with no provider to call and no payer rules to lean on. You can set aside reimbursement-trained reflexes and work in a different framework.
