Job Description
Starting rate of pay:
$52,000 This role centers on conducting intake assessments , determining appropriate levels of care, and coordinating service linkage for clients across outpatient, crisis stabilization, detoxification, and inpatient settings. It blends clinical assessment, triage, documentation, and interagency collaboration to ensure clients receive timely, appropriate behavioral health services. As an Intake Specialist, you will complete comprehensive intake assessments for adults, children, adolescents, and family systems. You will determine the most clinically appropriate service pathway—whether outpatient therapy, crisis stabilization, CSU, detoxification, or inpatient referral—and coordinate the next steps to ensure seamless access to care. Your work will require strong diagnostic skills, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and community partners.Key Responsibilities:
- Intake & Assessment — Conduct clinical intakes, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate levels of care.
- Treatment Planning — Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Service Linkage — Coordinate referrals to outpatient services, crisis stabilization, detoxification programs, inpatient facilities, and community supports.
- Clinical Intervention — Provide triage, intervention, and support during the intake process.
- Documentation — Ensure all records meet contract, licensure, and organizational standards, completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Case Staffing — Participate in case reviews and staffing to support treatment planning and continuity of care.
- Collaboration — Serve as a liaison with courts, schools, foster homes, family members, case managers, and state agencies to support client treatment goals.
- Productivity Standards — Maintain required productivity benchmarks as outlined by the organization.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree in a clinical behavioral health field (social work, counseling, psychology, or related discipline), license‑eligible.
- Strong assessment skills, including evaluating suicide risk and risk of harm to others.
- Knowledge of commitment procedures, crisis protocols, and community resources.
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and remain effective under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation.
- Courteous, diplomatic, and service‑oriented approach to client care.
