Job Description

Overview Join Our Mission The Dooley School serves elementary, middle, and high school students with emotional, behavioral, learning, and multiple psychiatric diagnoses who require additional therapeutic and educational support to succeed. Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Treatment Complete biopsychosocial assessments and interpret referral information. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Provide individual, family, and group therapy. Monitor treatment progress using measurable outcomes. Initiate discharge planning upon admission. Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation. Support students during school events and therapeutic activities. Care Coordination Collaborate with families, schools, physicians, and community providers. Coordinate referrals and continuity of care. Advocate for students and families within the community. Connect students with additional Villa and community resources when appropriate. Clinical Supervision Provide clinical leadership and support to counselors, behavior specialists, case managers, interns, and other staff. Develop and deliver staff trainings. Mentor staff to strengthen clinical competencies and professional growth. Participate in hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and staff development. Compliance & Documentation Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation. Participate in monthly chart reviews. Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards. Report incidents and concerns in accordance with agency policy. Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards. Professional Responsibilities Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain required trainings and continuing education. Participate in the agency's on-call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another related human services field. Preferred Licensure
LCSW LPC LMFT LBA
Experience Minimum of two years of experience working with children, adolescents, or similar populations preferred. Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with electronic health records preferred. Clinician Levels Clinician II Virginia license-eligible and approved to receive supervision toward independent licensure. Clinician III Independently licensed in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LBA).
