Job Description
Job Summary:
The Epic Ambulatory Application Analyst/Consultant is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing Epic Ambulatory applications within a healthcare environment. This role involves service desk support, system configuration, workflow design, testing, and project execution. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Epic Ambulatory modules, hands-on implementation experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality healthcare IT solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support for Epic Ambulatory applications including Service Desk ticket resolution Analyze, design, and optimize workflows to meet clinical and operational needs Configure and build Epic system components based on business requirements Coordinate and lead workflow design sessions, testing, and issue resolution Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables Facilitate governance processes for request intake, prioritization, and execution Conduct system testing (unit, integration, and UAT) and document results Lead defect tracking, resolution, and validation efforts Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors Support data integration, validation, and data movement frameworks Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and reports Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer Participate in system upgrades, maintenance, and optimization initiatives Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards Support go-live activities and post-implementation stabilizationRequired Skills:
Strong expertise in Epic Ambulatory application (certification required) Experience with Epic EHR implementation lifecycle (discovery to go-live and optimization) Hands-on experience in workflow design, system configuration, and testing Strong project management and stakeholder management skills Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems Knowledge of data integration, validation, and reporting processes Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation skillsPreferred Skills:
Experience with Epic modules such as Wisdom, Bones, Kaleidoscope, Healthy Planet, MyChart, EpicCare Link, and Compass Rose Experience with Epic Reporting Workbench Experience in large healthcare or government environments Experience with integrated Epic projects and cross-system workflows Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and reporting toolsCertifications:
