Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Medical Records Consultant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity of medical records to support optimal patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. As a Medical Records Consultant, you will collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and IT specialists to implement best practices for record keeping and data management. Responsibilities Evaluate and analyze medical record systems for compliance and efficiency. Develop and implement best practices for medical records management. Provide training and support to staff on record keeping procedures and regulations. Assist healthcare facilities in preparation for compliance audits and accreditation processes. Collaborate with IT departments to enhance electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Conduct regular reviews and audits of medical records for accuracy and completeness. Create policies and guidelines for the management of medical records. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and coding standards. Proven experience in medical records management or consulting within healthcare settings. Minimum of 3 years working in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
