In this position, you will be the cornerstone of maintaining organized and accessible patient records, supporting clinical staff, and upholding the highest standards of healthcare privacy protection. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute directly to the efficiency of our healthcare operations and patient care excellence. Responsibilities Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information. Organize, file, and retrieve medical records efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies: importing and scanning documents from email and outside care centers into the patient charts. Verify the completeness and accuracy of medical records in compliance with health information management standards and health regulation policies. Ensure compliance with health information regulatory requirements, including healthcare privacy protection laws such as HIPAA. Assist scheduling appointments in Spanish checking the Spanish line for messages and translating the messages to appropriate team members Assist in the front office as a back-up if needed Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office environment or health information management role. Bilingual Spanish/English Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of medical records efficiently. Understanding of healthcare privacy laws and confidentiality policies to safeguard sensitive patient information. Exceptional customer service skills with a professional attitude towards patients, providers, and colleagues.
