Cardiology Practice Location:
Palm Beach Gardens, FL Position Summary Florida Cardiovascular Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records Clerk to support our new PBG location. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, secure, and timely patient medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrates strong administrative and communication skills, and is committed to supporting both patient care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Maintain, organize, and update patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Process incoming and outgoing medical records requests in a timely and compliant manner Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and properly documented Respond to internal and external requests for medical records, including patients, providers, and third-party entities Verify appropriate authorization prior to releasing records in accordance with HIPAA regulations Scan, index, and upload documents into the EHR system Monitor and track record requests to ensure timely completion Assist clinical and administrative staff with locating and retrieving patient information as needed Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive patient information at all times Support audits and compliance initiatives related to medical records management Collaborate with front office, clinical staff, and leadership to ensure seamless workflow Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical records, health information management, or a healthcare administrative role Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athena, or similar) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Experience in a cardiology or specialty medical practice Knowledge of medical terminology Work Environment & Expectations Full-time, on-site position in PBG, FL Fast-paced clinical environment requiring adaptability and teamwork Consistent adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and organizational policies Why Join Florida Cardiovascular Partners?
