Responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage accurately by reviewing insurance policies and electronic health records (EHR) systems Obtain insurance prior authorization for procedures, tests, and treatments in compliance with managed care requirements Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues or discrepancies Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure clinical confidentiality policies are followed Utilize Microsoft Office tools to document verification activities, update patient records, and generate reports Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate billing processes and proper documentation of medical records Stay informed about health insurance policy changes, medical billing updates, and coding guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy Experience No experiene nessary; we are willing to train the right candidate.
