Job Description
The electronic health record specialist coordinates the development, organization and presentation of training and development methodologies for the Franciscan Medical Group in order to maximize organizational performance and utilization of the electronic health record. This position is responsible for training all aspects and roles within the ambulatory health record and is responsible for the identification of training and development needs as well as monitoring effectiveness of programs. It is the responsibility of the incumbent(s) of this position to incorporate the mission, values and philosophy of the organization into all aspects of job duties. 2 years experience training on IS platforms/applications, clinical, or EHR; or teaching experience (Associate's Degree will substitute for 1 year experience. Bachelor's Degree will substitute for 2 years experience) High School Diploma or Equivalent. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively with diverse personalities Able to present education and training materials with effective communication and presentation skills. Performs effectively in a complex changing environment Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to present complex materials to a variety of audiences. Must Obtain EPIC Credentialing within 90 days of Hire. 1. Training Identifies opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency and quality of work effort within the Franciscan Medical Group Trains providers and clinical staff on effective and efficient utilization of the electronic medical record Develops and evaluates policies and procedures that define and describe the scope of services offered by the FMOLHS Franciscan Medical Group in relation to patient care processes and utilization of the electronic medical record Maintains a high standard of integrity and professionalism with clinic staff and shares medical data in full compliance with corporate policies Conducts research into medical and operational related issues impacting the provider, staff and/or patient
