Job Description

Job Requirements Position Summary The Application System Analyst III - Phoenix serves as a senior technical and operational specialist supporting Epic Transplant (Phoenix). This role partners with clinical, operational, and IT teams to support user needs, optimize workflows, and maintain system configurations. The analyst plays a key role in implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Epic applications to ensure high-quality healthcare technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Implementation & Collaboration Partner with the Outpatient Implementation team to build, test, and support go-live activities for Transplant departments, ensuring configurations meet clinical and operational needs. Workflow Analysis & Optimization Evaluate current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and design optimized future-state processes in collaboration with clinical and informatics stakeholders. Requirements Gathering Lead sessions with end users and SMEs to gather and document business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications. System Configuration & Build Perform advanced Epic build, including orders, documentation tools, and decision support, in alignment with organizational standards and best practices. Testing & Validation Develop and execute test plans and scripts, validate system functionality, and resolve issues prior to deployment. Training & Go-Live Support Provide hands-on support and guidance to end users during implementation and go-live. Project Leadership Serve as a project lead or subject matter expert, coordinating cross-functional efforts, tracking milestones, and reporting progress to leadership. Issue Resolution & Maintenance Monitor system performance post-implementation, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize user experience. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and workflows; provide regular updates to stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance Ensure all system configurations and processes align with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and Epic standards. Work Experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). EpicCare Ambulatory certification required. Epic Phoenix certification required. 3-5+ years of experience in Epic system analysis, build, and implementation, preferably supporting outpatient workflows. Strong experience in workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and system configuration. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience collaborating with clinical informatics, operational, and technical teams Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and guide others in effective solutions. Serves as a subject matter expert for resolving advanced technical and functional challenges. Demonstrated ability to develop detailed application specifications, with knowledge of system configuration, integrations, and technical environments. Ability to train and support end users, including delivering train-the-trainer sessions on application functionality and process changes. Provides strategic guidance on application integration and system relationships across the organization. Excellent customer service and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, including coordinating work, delegating tasks, and ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence and creativity. Ensures adherence to application security, controls, and regulatory requirements in alignment with organizational and vendor standards.
