_PARAGRAPH JOB_DESCRIPTION.SHARE.HTML Midland, Michigan Information Technology PRN Casual Any Shift Information Technology 46340 Job Description Summary This position reports to the Information Technology leader responsible for training. The position will coordinate and provide expertise in the training, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Epic EMR application and related EMR technology systems for physicians and Advance Practice Providers (APP). Help to ensure engagement and prioritize workflows and requirements for changes in processes, policies, and information systems within Epic and other EMR technologies. Ensures data/information is current with regulatory agency and best practice standards. This role will lead at-the-elbow and remote support efforts with physician and APP workflow, usability, optimization, and satisfaction with Epic EMR. Meaningfully contributes to planning, training, communication, deployment, and support of Epic, other EMR technologies, and related systems and services. Other aspects of this position will include training of the specialist trainers, work with the provider training team to help identify physicians and APPs who may benefit from improved efficiency with Epic. Additional duties may be assigned during the course of an implementation project. Responsibilities (30%)
  • Coordinates and provides expertise in the training, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Epic EMR application and related EMR technology systems for physicians and Advance Practice Providers (APP) (30%)
  • Lead all provider training sessions, including STS training, independents and locums. This includes personalization work and at the elbow support and issues identified. (15%)
  • In conjunction with the CMIO and Provider Training team, develop the plan for go-live training classes to be offered, including the material to be covered. Develop training materials for each class in conjunction with the principal trainers and teach classes. (10%)
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology Department staff as well as staff from other departments to facilitate optimal utilization of all patient-care focused IT products and associated required documentation. � (5%)
  • Attend Provider Meetings as assigned to provide updates on Epic features, discuss issues with providers, and provide training updates. Assist user groups resulting in meeting user needs through constructive discussion and problem solving. � (5%)
  • Assists in cross training team members and users and (5%) Participates in additional projects including software updates and changes. � (5%)
  • Assist Physician Informaticists/CMIO in summarizing identified opportunities for new build and policy revisions related to Orders/CCD conversion/Clinical workflows/MIPS/Quality.

NURPRACT
Nurse Practitioner Required Education Master degree is required Other Information
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Extensive clinical experience working with Epic required. Three years working with health care technology in a patient centered setting required. Prior training or education experience preferred. Epic trained and / or certified preferred. Project management experience preferred. Travel to MyMichigan locations and Community Connect partners required.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death. Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
