GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Medical Records Clerks for a future opportunity supporting the Warfighter Refractive Surgery and Ophthalmology Clinic at Keesler Medical Group, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award. About the Opportunity Join a dedicated administrative team supporting the Warfighter Refractive Surgery and Ophthalmology Clinic. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating patient appointments, supporting clinic operations, and ensuring efficient patient flow while providing exceptional customer service to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Flexible schedule between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM 9-hour workday including a 1-hour unpaid lunch Up to 80 hours per two-week pay period No overtime No on-call Federal holidays observed Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors while providing excellent customer service. Answer telephones, manage patient call systems, and route messages appropriately. Schedule appointments, consultations, discharges, and patient transfers. Register patients and maintain accurate information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Prepare, retrieve, organize, and maintain patient medical records. Assist with clinic workflow by directing patient flow and supporting clinical staff. Prepare reports, collect administrative data, and maintain filing systems. Stock office forms and supplies and assist with maintaining clinic organization. Coordinate transportation of requests, specimens, and medications between the clinic and ancillary services. Notify the Clinic Manager of equipment issues and support daily clinic operations. Minimum Qualifications U.S. Citizen High school diploma or GED Minimum one (1) year of experience in a medical office setting within the past 24 months Ability to work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain accurate medical documentation Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with patient scheduling and medical records management Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements Experience supporting specialty clinics Why GiaCare?
