Intake Specialist will have remote responsibilities traveling throughout the community to conduct intakes anywhere necessary, including homes. Must be comfortable and adaptable to all environments. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and clients, managing their initial inquiries and guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and care. Your energetic approach will ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone, while your attention to detail will support accurate documentation and compliance with health regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care by efficiently coordinating appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining confidential health records. Responsibilities Greet consumers and clients warmly, establishing a positive first impression during phone calls and in-person interactions Collect, verify, and update patient information using electronic health records (EHR) and client management software Schedule appointments accurately while coordinating with medical staff to optimize clinic flow Obtain insurance details, verify coverage, and explain health policy requirements clearly to patients Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records in accordance with privacy laws and health regulation policies Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, document processing, and preparing intake forms Communicate effectively via phone and email to follow up on appointments or clarify patient needs Support the team by understanding medical terminology relevant to the practice area, including dental or other specialties if applicable Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred Familiarity with patient management software, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is essential Strong knowledge of health insurance policies and billing procedures enhances efficiency in the role Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse populations Office experience demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel Understanding of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance) Experience with medical terminology relevant to the practice area improves accuracy in documentation and communication Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
