A Clinical Data Systems Analyst provides data analysis and reporting and manages applications for an electronic health record system at a hospital or health care organization.
The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The Clinical Informatics Specialist integrates clinical science with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice. The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in the use of technology to support clinical care. Activities include but are not limited to collaborating with customers and other IT team members to partner to define problems. Participates in the design, development, implementation, education, and evaluation of technology in clinical areas. In addition, they are responsible for advocacy, identification of issues, documentation, and escalation of issues. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will work independently with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect and shared values. They will communicate with patients, families, communities, and professionals in health and other fields in a responsive and responsible manner that supports a team's approach to the promotion and maintenance of health. Clinical Informatics Specialist:
The Clinical Informatics Specialist 3 is responsible for, but not limited to: Provides independent operational support to local team to provide customer support, rounding, education, implement clinical changes, coordinate and collaborate with local SME to plan, deliver, and evaluate changes related to the use of technology and data Independently ensures rigorous documentation of problems including audits, design sessions, planning, collaboration, and implementation activities (including but not limited to rounds and in-services) Ensures that all problems have discrete metrics of outcomes to ensure a scientific and rigorous approach to outcomes Maintains a culture within the team and with external collaboration upholding the RWJBH standards of ethics, culturally congruent practice, and communication/ collaboration Apply advanced information management skills and techniques to advance the Scope of Nursing Informatics Practice and education while also demonstrating leadership capabilities Acts as a resource for Level 1&2 Informatics Specialists Maintains the required professional development, competencies, and continuing education Collaborates independently with local SME s in Quality and Regulatory under the guidance of leadership to ensure optimal quality of practice by ensuring awareness and competency to new regulations Other duties as assigned by leadership Applicant is expected to obtain and maintain Epic certification as current in accordance with dept requirements Customer Service/Patient Satisfaction Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service Confidentiality Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records Professionalism Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors Communication Listens and communicates effectively Teamwork Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc Quality/ Performance Improvement Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department Autonomy Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate Accountability Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department, objectives, policies and procedures Ownership Demonstrates sound judgment; accepts and benefits from constructive criticism Professional Development Job Awareness Participates in ongoing education as required To Be Considered for this role you must have:

Experience:
