Job Description

Project Aide (2600673) Project Aide Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): High School Diploma/G.E.D (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience with the National Information Reporting System (NIRS), including data entry/maintenance, data quality review, and preparation/submission of required reports. Experience with data entry, cleaning, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar data tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an office setting. Experience with data quality checks (QA/QC), data validation, and maintaining tracking logs. Experience supporting time sensitive reporting deliverables (e.g., database submissions/compliance reporting/routine program reports). Experience handling confidential/sensitive information and following data-security practices. Familiarity with survey/data collection tools (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap, Google Forms). Experience with basic reporting/visualization (pivot tables/charts) and/or basic statistical tools (SPSS/R/Stata). Brief Description of Duties This role assists in collecting information from trainees and faculty, keeps data organized and accurate, and ensures everything is handled securely. It supports submitting required reports on time and creates basic summaries and analyses to show program results. The ideal applicant must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal applicant should also have the ability to communicate clearly and follow up with trainees and staff.
Duties:
Assist with Data Collection Perform routine data gathering information from current and former trainees, core and supporting faculty, and staff. Complete simple follow-up outreach steps to clarify or complete missing data. Assist with Data Management Assist with cleaning and organized datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency. Maintain secure and confidential handling of trainee information in accordance with program procedures. Assist with Compliance & Submission Support the preparation and entry of required data to government databases in accordance with reporting standards. Follow set procedures to ensure timely and accurate compliance with all submission deadlines. Assist with Reporting and Analysis Prepare basic generated reports summarizing data and program outcomes. Assist with basic data analysis to identify trends and support program evaluation activities. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. This is a part-time, hourly, variable schedule; up to 20 hours/week (typically ~5 hours/week).
