Medical Records Management Maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) : Create, update, and manage electronic and paper files for all new admissions.
Conduct Documentation Audits :
Perform routine checks on active and closed charts to ensure state compliance and timeliness of physician signatures.
Manage Discharge and Thinning :
Streamline current active charts according to facility policy and systematically organize overflow data.
Process Information Requests :
Act as the primary gatekeeper for legally authorized medical record disclosures, adhering strictly to HIPAA privacy guidelines .
Coordinate Care Transitions :
Assemble, verify, and securely close out clinical records upon resident discharge or death.
