Job Details Skills Database Electronic Health Record (EHR) REDCap Public Health Database Electronic Health Record (EHR) REDCap Public Health Summary Job Summary We are seeking an Public Health Data Reviewer to support autism and developmental disability monitoring activities. The position will focus on reviewing and abstracting information from medical and education records of children with autism or suspected autism. Responsibilities Perform medical chart and education record abstractions. Review electronic medical records and electronic education records. Work with REDCap and other database/web-based applications. Collaborate with healthcare providers, hospitals, and program staff. Request and review medical records from healthcare facilities. Maintain contact lists and internal project documentation. Assist with educational materials and webpage content. Respond to and route public questions and concerns. Participate in program meetings and project initiatives. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical and personal information. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Genetics, Nursing, Early Childhood Education/Development, Special Education , or a closely related field. Minimum 2 years of clinical/medical abstraction experience . Minimum 2 years of experience with database systems and web-based applications . Experience with REDCap, EMR/EHR, or electronic education records . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling confidential and sensitive information. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Must currently reside in Indiana. Preferred Qualifications Background or knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . Experience with developmental disabilities or special education. Experience working with hospital staff and physicians. Experience in public health, medical research, or health data surveillance.
