Job Description

Procedure Coordinator Location:
Peninsula Pain Clinic Employment Type:
Full-Time Monday
  • Thursday 8am
  • 5pm, Fridays 8am-1pm pay scale
  • $21•25 depending on experience Peninsula Pain Clinic is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procedure Coordinator to join our team.
In this key role, you'll be the hub that keeps our procedure schedule running smoothly
  • supporting patients, providers, and clinical staff every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule patient procedures from start to finish Obtain and manage prior authorizations, including submitting documentation and insurance follow-up Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and insurance carriers Gather and review required medical records and documentation Confirm procedure dates, times, and readiness with patients Review pre-procedure instructions to ensure patients feel prepared Ensure all requirements are completed prior to procedure day Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Partner with providers and clinical staff to support efficient workflow
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional healthcare education a plus) Experience in a medical office, surgical scheduling, or prior authorization role preferred Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes Excellent organizational and time-management skills Friendly, professional communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment Comfortable working in EMR systems and standard office software Work Environment This role is based in a busy outpatient clinic where teamwork, communication, and attention to detail are essential to providing a seamless patient experience.
