How you'll contribute A Laboratory Manager who excels in this role: Manage the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Assist with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Perform and oversee scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determine and justify needs for system/equipment/supply purchases, monitor usage and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assess the quality of patient care delivered and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary. Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
