A Clinical Laboratory Manager manages laboratory research and procedures for numerous fields such as health, industry, or other natural sciences. Commonly oversees R&D, diagnostic or treatment to allow patients to receive better health outcomes. Responsible for regulatory, health and safety operations during laboratory activities.
Laboratory Supervisor Laboratory Department Full-Time Position
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, coordinate and direct department functions in order to achieve set organizational goals Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in order to keep laboratories within compliance for quality patient care. Manage a team of professional MLTs and Phlebotomists with the ability to coach, train, encourage and hold accountable to the Standards of Behavior Write, review, revise, and implement all policies and procedures Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all directors and physicians Promote and participate in hospital projects and public relations programs, patient surveys, and community education programs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Fulltime position MLT/MT Bachelors degree preferred Associates degree accepted with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Laboratory profession based on
CLIA 1988
guidelines for technical supervisor ASCP or equivalent license required. Computer knowledge with Word, Excel required. Ability to organize and prioritize work with exceptional communication skills
