Director of Laboratory Services

A hospital in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to lead and oversee all aspects of laboratory operations. This on-site leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality diagnostic services, regulatory compliance, and efficient laboratory performance across the organization. Position Overview The Director of Laboratory Services provides strategic and operational direction for the laboratory department, supporting both clinical and administrative functions. The role focuses on maintaining accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic testing services while ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare standards and regulations. This position requires strong independent decision-making, leadership capability, and the ability to manage operations in a fast-paced and highly regulated clinical environment.
