Come see why we are different and apply today! Position Summary The Director of Laboratory provides administrative leadership, expertise, and strategic direction for the Laboratory Department. Ensures compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Establishes, monitors, and drives improvement in performance indicators to achieve high-quality outcomes. Collaborates closely with organizational leaders and physicians to support clinical excellence and operational effectiveness. Essential Functions Directs all laboratory operations, including human resources, financial management, and regulatory compliance Leads talent management efforts for the laboratory, such as recruitment, onboarding staff development, performance management, and, when necessary, corrective action Provides mentorship and support to laboratory supervisors in addressing staffing, personnel, and process-related challenges Responsible for the development and adherence to laboratory operational and capital budgets Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations including
CLIA, ACHC, CAP
Proficiency testing, and Individualized Quality Control Programs Serves as the primary laboratory representative across interdisciplinary teams and initiatives Holds primary responsibility for advancing the organization's mission and vision with the Laboratory Department Actively contributes to laboratory strategic planning and plays a key role in achieving organizational goals Skills & Abilities Bachelor's Degree required; Must be a graduate of a Medical Laboratory Sciences or an allied field 5 years' experience working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist Certifications-MT (ASCP) or NCA certification
