Job Description
Summary The Quality Lab Supervisor is responsible for quality lab and inspection activities to ensure manufactured parts meet customer, internal and regulatory requirements. This role leads day-to-day quality assurance efforts related to PPAP support, receiving, in process, final inspections, documentation control, and corrective action closure n an ISO-certified manufacturing environment serving automotive and heavy equipment customers. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate lab/inspection activities, including staffing, training, and daily workflow within the quality department. Ensure compliance with ISO requirements , documented procedures, work instructions, and quality policies. Support PPAP activities including verification planning, measurement readiness, results review, and documentation support. Perform and/or oversee dimensional inspections for receiving inspections in-process checks Final piece inspections Product/part conformance verification against drawings, specifications and customer requirements. Manage inspection documentation , including recording, verification, and release/hold decisions: Inspection reports and traveler/route documentation Measurement records, traceability documentation, and supporting evidence Maintain organized and audit-ready records for ISO and customer requirements Lead corrective activities by: Receiving and reviewing conformances Coordinating containment actions Ensuring root cause analysis is performed Verifying effectiveness of corrective actions and closure with documented evidence Control measurement system readiness including Ensuring required gauges/fixtures, and lab equipment are available, calibrated and in service Coordinate with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and improve process capability. Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, trend tracking, and reduction of defects. Ensure safe and consistent lab operations , including proper handling of measurement equipment and adherence to site safety rules.
