Assistant Laboratory Manager

Position Summary The Assistant Laboratory Manager supervises daily laboratory activities and personnel in the area of responsibility (e.g., writing procedures, employee scheduling, laboratory inspections, Quality Control, new instrument setup and correlation, proficiency testing, employee relations and disciplinary coaching, and other special assignments). You will also be required to recommend personnel for hiring and/or termination, assist with employee training and competency, and assist with budget preparation. Assumes responsibilities of the manager in their absence. Will perform clinical laboratory testing when routine bench load warrants 50% of the time. Minimum Requirements BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science. MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification required.

Experience:

Four (4) years of current/related clinical laboratory experience is required. Generalist experience to include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.

Preferred:
