Summary:
Provides adequate supervision within a defined shift. Provides technical expertise and guidance for the section; assists the Technical Director in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing. Acts as liaison for the Laboratory and Nursing & Medical staffs. Acting as the Quality Systems Manager for a specific site or area of responsibility, performs and documents QA activities as defined by Laboratory Administrative and Medical Leadership.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
B.S. or B.A. degree NYS Licensure required MT (ASCP) registered/eligible or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years of clinical laboratory work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Demonstrated supervisory skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work in stressful situations Ability to work with infectious and/or hazardous material Customer focused
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions Schedule flexibility
