I. Job Summary Ensures the safe and efficient daily operation of the landfill laboratory. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages all laboratory personnel, data, and quality control. Implements waste analysis plan and RCRA regulations as it pertains to analysis and testing. Reviews special waste to determine acceptability for hazardous waste disposal. Performs routine laboratory functions as assigned. Facilitates the receipt of materials for treatment and disposal in compliance with WM policies and procedures, including state and federal guidelines. Applies appropriate treatment and disposal methodologies to be utilized at the facility for the specific waste. Ensures that the health and safety of the employees and environment is maximized. Oversees personnel needs of the laboratory including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. Works with other supervisors/managers to coordinate services and keep them informed as issues arise. Keeps district manager fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention. Makes personal contact with customers and assists them with questions and/or concerns as appropriate. Ensures safety, cleanliness and organization of laboratory work area and related storage areas. Conducts and/or attends and contributes to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees. Provides training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner. Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner. III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Chemistry, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience. 7 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement). Pay :

The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $95,700 - $121,990 per year. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
