Posted Job Title Research Coordinator/Lab Manager - Pranam Chatterjee's Research Laboratory. - Penn Engineering Job Profile Title Research Coordinator Job Description Summary Coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of Pranam Chatterjee's research laboratory. Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory, calendars and meetings, grant and administrative records, financial tracking support, and research compliance documentation. Assist with wet-lab experiments and recordkeeping under established protocols as project needs require. Work with the principal investigator, laboratory members, departmental administrators, vendors, and Penn offices to keep research activities organized, compliant, and on schedule. Job Description Job Responsibilities Manage daily lab operations, order supplies, maintain inventory and safety stock, receive shipments, and coordinate vendors and equipment service. Coordinate research compliance and administrative records, including required training, protocol documents, renewals, and audit-ready files. Support grant accounting by tracking expenses and commitments, reconciling records with departmental reports, and flagging discrepancies to the PI and business office. Manage the PI and lab calendars; schedule meetings, reserve rooms, prepare agendas, record action items, and follow up on deadlines. Prepare and file grant and administrative paperwork; maintain proposal, award, purchasing, personnel, and laboratory records. Assist laboratory members with wet-lab experiments under approved protocols, including reagent preparation, sample handling, routine assays, and data and record capture. Maintain shared SOPs, onboarding materials, contact lists, and lab records; coordinate onboarding logistics and required training. Perform related duties, as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Will be required to complete Penn laboratory safety and research compliance training required for assigned protocols. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School School of Engineering and Applied Science Pay Range $45,278.00 - $58,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
