Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Coaches and develops assigned personnel; identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues. Leads with humility and a willingness to listen and consider suggestions from everyone, regardless of position or status. Oversees all testing procedures (including quality control testing) to ensure compliance with practices, regulations, and/or any agreements/contracts.

REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Must satisfy CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing required. State licensure as required by regulations.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Reference Lab Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification required for an accredited IRL, preferred for a reference lab.

EXPERIENCE

Seven years clinical laboratory experience required.

To include:

a. Three years managerial or supervisory experience. b. Previous experience in molecular techniques, immunohematology techniques, automated testing and computerization preferred.
