Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Laboratory Director to lead and oversee our clinical and research laboratory operations. This pivotal role involves managing laboratory staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining high-quality laboratory procedures, and driving innovation in diagnostic testing. As Laboratory Director, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and continuous improvement to support vital healthcare and research initiatives. Responsibilities Lead the overall management of laboratory operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery. Oversee the implementation and adherence to CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) regulations and other relevant compliance standards to guarantee quality and safety. Supervise laboratory personnel engaged in specimen collection, processing, and analysis—covering blood banking, phlebotomy, molecular assays such as

ELISA, PCR, RNA

extraction, DNA isolation, immunoassays, and clinical chemistry tests. Ensure rigorous quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols are followed across all laboratory procedures to maintain accuracy and reliability of test results. Manage laboratory information systems (LIS), document management systems, and data collection processes for seamless record keeping and reporting. Coordinate with clinical teams on specimen handling, blood sampling techniques including venipuncture, and analysis of vital signs within a hospital or clinical setting. Develop schedules for laboratory staff, oversee training programs on laboratory techniques and new technologies, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Maintain compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), CLIA regulations, and hospital policies related to medical laboratory work. Lead efforts in research laboratory activities by supporting assay development, data management for clinical trials, and innovative testing methodologies. Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth operations while managing budgets, procurement of medical laboratory equipment, and inventory control. Qualifications Extensive experience in clinical or research laboratory settings with a strong background in medical laboratory techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, hematology, clinical chemistry, immunoassays, molecular biology methods including PCR/RNA extraction/DNA isolation. Proven leadership experience in supervising laboratory teams within hospital or healthcare environments. Deep understanding of CLIA regulations along with knowledge of laboratory compliance management systems. Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS), document management systems, schedule management tools, and data management platforms. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, blood banking procedures including venipuncture and blood sampling techniques. Excellent analysis skills for interpreting complex test results while ensuring accuracy through rigorous quality control measures. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
