GEL Laboratories, LLC , an affiliate of The GEL Group, Inc., is looking for a skilled Project Manager Assistant to join our team of professionals in our Charleston, SC office. As a Project Manager Assistant, you will directly support Project Managers (PMs) within the Client Services Division using Microsoft Office 365 tools and our Laboratory Information Management System. You will have regular interaction with both GEL's clients and laboratory personnel. The project management group consists of small teams of project managers and assistants who work together to ensure their clients' analytical needs are met on time. The Project Manager Assistant role is designed with a growth trajectory toward Project Management. The ideal team member delivers superb customer service while seamlessly executing all administrative tasks in both the laboratory and office setting. GEL Laboratories, LLC is a full-service analytical chemistry and radiochemistry laboratory serving clients worldwide. We offer deep expertise in environmental chemistry, PFAS, radiochemistry, radiobioassay, hemp analysis, well water, and specialty analysis. The Project Manager Assistant will be responsible for: Responding promptly to external customers via phone or email Conferring with laboratory analysts or leadership to obtain additional information needed to resolve customer questions Performing data entry to correctly assign samples to laboratory worklists Summarizing sample receipt issues and providing sample receipt acknowledgements to clients Assisting in preparation of reports and narratives as required Reviewing invoices for accuracy vs. quotes and contracts Assisting in sub-contracting of samples to other laboratories Assuming the role of Project Manager "back-up" during Project Manager absence Demonstrating and supporting GEL's core values What We Offer:

Bachelor of Science, preferably in Chemistry or Biology Or Bachelor of Business Administration/Bachelor of Science in Business Administration At least one year of customer service experience Exceptional organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic math and science knowledge Excellent computer skills, including Office 365 applications including Excel Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
This position requires working in a busy production laboratory which processes samples from around the world. Time is spent in the lab and in an office setting. Safety is a priority and negligence is not tolerated. Safety equipment is provided, and use is mandatory.
