Job Description
Where You'll Work St. Joseph Health has been caring for the communities in and surrounding the Brazos Valley since 1936 (Bryan/College Station, Navasota, Caldwell, Madisonville (TX)). St. Joseph has a Level III Trauma Center, the first Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and the first accredited Chest Pain Center in the Brazos Valley. The network includes more than 30 ambulatory clinics featuring Primary Care, Express Clinics and Imaging and Diagnostic Services. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Manager, Laboratory Services, you will oversee daily operations and strategic development of the clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic testing.
Every day you will manage and mentor staff, monitor test quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with pathologists and clinical teams to optimize workflows and integrate new technologies.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong leadership, expert technical knowledge, and strategic management skills, driving continuous quality improvement and fostering a collaborative team for essential diagnostic support. Responsible for the overall administration of all laboratory operations. Monitors employee and departmental performance to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, timelines and regulatory requirements Remains knowledgeable on new technologies, methods and approaches within the laboratory community Stays informed on and quickly ensures compliance with changes to regulatory and state requirements. Ensures ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsible for development, implementation and compliance with policy and procedures. Develops monitoring systems to improve quality; initiates corrective action plans, and monitors results. Evaluates existing systems and processes and develops corrective action plans for service/quality trends identified Ensures prompt and effective resolution of quality or service concerns. Responsible for equipment oversight, maintenance, and procurement in accordance with division, system and regulatory standards. Job Requirements Required Bachelors Of Science in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA. and in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA., upon hire and International Medical Laboratory Scientist, upon hire or Blood Banking, upon hire or Chemistry

- ASCP, upon hire or Specialist in Hematology, upon hire or Specialist in Microbiobiology, upon hire or Histotechnologist, upon hire Preferred Masters Of Science and One year experience as a Manager.
